Hmmm good question. Canelo must improve his defense for this fight. I do feel Cintrons power is overrated but he has enough to put anyone down. Then again can Cintron keep it together and not fold under the pressure? If Canelo stays up the first 5 rounds i can really see him stopping Cintron later on.
Cintron is a complete weirdo, but he's a solid technical boxer with a right hand that can put you on a stretcher (or he can jump into a stretcher himself, but I digress). He'd be too much for Canelo right now. Revisit this in 2-3 years.
Dont forget Kermit has a lethal, life ending uppercut too.. Canelo is still green and his defense is suspect. Right now if they fought, his career would be shortened.
Canelo ain't that slow, he's faster than Angulo, but not fast enough to beat Cintron to the punch. He has a nice pull-counter/pick stick, but hasn't mastered it to avoid a straight right from Cintron. I know Kermit is a weak minded, cry-baby complainer, but he's got skills. Combined with that hard uppercut, Ivy poined out, and his straight right; Canelo just ain't ready for that. Canelo is still a work in progress, he hadn't reached his peak.
i pick cintron, despite how great canelo looked against Baldy he still took some heavy clean shots now imagine those shots with cintron's power
Cintron can only win by KO and he has never stopped an elite fighter even Lovemore freaking N'Dou went 10 rounds with him. Also he didn't look very comfortable in the late rounds against Angulo and Canelo is faster, more skilled and hits probably harder than Angulo.
I'd go with the Frog....Kids too green to be put in with a big counter punching power puncher who is that athletic. There is several levels between a KO of 38 y/o Baldomir and beating an in his Prime Kermit Cintron. It would probably be a step too far at this point.
