Canelo Vs Khan Is A Great Event For Boxing and the MW division

boxing is bad...but its so good too...but ya its bad....there isnt much we can about it either...except "roll with the punches"....embrace it.....

GGG choosing to wait for the Canelo payday rather than pushing his mando and forcing him to drop the title (which may never happen whether GGG and K2 force it or not) does represent something that's bad about boxing too, but not as bad as a 25 year old boy who thinks he can do whatever he wants just because he has the biggest fanbase behind him.

 

I can't remember the last time a Middleweight championship bout created such buzz and excitement. Not in the last, what, 8 years.

It's a pretty surreal situation at middleweight at the moment. You have the real champ Golovkin and this weird catch weight middleweight title for guys coming up in weight who don't actually want to fight at middleweight.

First you had Cotto coming up to fight a guy for the title who was a light middle for most of his career, then you have the catch weight defence against Geale and then a light middle gets dragged up again for Cotto and now Canelo is dragging up welters. What's next light welters like Broner or Crawford being dragged up to middleweight for the catch weight belt? Maybe one day we'll have a straw weight fighting for the catch weight title at middleweight.

Hopefully this doesn't give the sanctioning bodies any ideas about setting up catch weight belts in each division.

 

Not hard to understand why this happened. Simply because those catch-weight bouts were all bigger draws than what the actual MWs could command, so what can the sanctioning body do but go with the flow.
It could be said that these catchweights are what have actually kept the MW division alive for the last few years. It definitely hasn't been the MW champions. In fact, their flawed strategies are what led up to this.

LOL. Khan don't hold grudges. He hasn't bothered to avenge Prescott either.

It took BHOP a long time to getting around to avenging his loss to RJJ.

 

A big joke. Khan has no chin , can't break an egg and is much smaller. This should not be allowed.

 

Does Golovkin have a good chin?
Sanchez says GiGi's chin is better than Jake LaMotta's, but Sanchez lies even in his sleep.

 

If Khan finally lives up to his potential (even if he loses by KO), yes.

 

I hate this fight so freaking much. I HATE IT.

But if there's one reason I absolutely LOVE it it's because of that right there. Lol

And on Wade and Rosado, I'd prefer those matchups for Canelo because they are actually 160 lbers. But as for Khan, I totally prefer this matchup for him.
