You're an idiot. 600K is far from a flop, and the majority who didn't buy it skipped it because everybody felt that Khan had no chance and was not a worthy opponent. A dozen or so people I talked to said they will catch the replay in a week after Khan gets KOd.

Pac/Algieri and May/Berto did about 400K so there you go.

To be honest, I think this makes an immediate GGG fight less likely. Hoya's cash cow isn't as "over" as they thought he was, so that means he'll have to be even more protected now. Until he gets more "over" with the PPV crowd.

If Canelo did big numbers against Khan, then he could afford a loss to Golovkin. He already has a loss and a draw on his record.

But since the numbers are poor, I'm thinking it's "vacate" time for Canelo and Hoya as Golden Boy has to protect their only, fragile asset.

Maybe if GGG goes to heavyweight, he'll lose. But at middleweight, GGG is King

Just make sure You're ready for the Big DRAMA SHOW, when it comes to a city near you

It's a flop when you're supposed to be the biggest star in Boxing and you are fighting a Big name opponent. Khan is not Richard Frazier. Khan is a big name. Now add in the fighters's payday including the undercard, it's a bust.

When the fight was announced, I was of the thinking it would do the numbers Canelo's fight with Cotto did.

600k is great when you consider that GBP had an uphill battle in promoting the fight as the media both Spanish and English were trashing the fight as an insult to boxing and its fans.
For it to do 600K under those circumstances is great.

For GGG fans to say otherwise and point to Canelo having lost pull in negotiations, only strenghthens my position and thinking that they are scared ****less that Canelo vs GGG gets made.
These fans so want Canelo's fight with Khan to lay an egg so that GBP doesn't even consider negotiating to make GGG.

GGG fans don't want Canelo to face Golovkin, they are so afraid the dream will come to an end!

Khan is a big name? When did he last fight on PPV? Secondly he was an opponent who nobody believed could win the fight.

600k vs Amir Khan is good number.

Khan's name is big only as an overrated glass jawed fraud. He has never been a PPV draw, which is why he's had so much trouble getting big fights. This fight, against that fraud, did more buys than the latest fights of May and Pac, two of the biggest PPV draws in history (Pac against Algieri and Bradley) (May against Berto). This was in absolutely no way a bust.
