There, I said it. I'd rather see Canelo vs Kirkland finally rather than see Cotto brutalize him. Like yeah by no means am I saying its not a good match up but anyone else thinking they're pushing him a tad bit too fast? No? Alright Open for discussion.
Canelo is a G and you can see he only wants to fight top fighters! This is good because Canelo haters said he was giving the title and fighting cupocakes all the time. Cotto-Canelo is a mega fight and needs to happen. Canelo can always fight Kirkland and might be his next fight after Cotto but the Cotto fight now you can argue is the 2nd biggest fight that can be made so you take that Opportunity.
They rushed canelo to the big show he wasn't ready and it showed(The Floyd Mayweather fight). He's a talented fighter unfortunately for him he's simply the most marketable Mexican fighter of the moment a fight with cotto would be damaging to his career imo
I know Im one of the few who still hold out for a Canelo Kirkland fight. That would be one of my fav fights of the year right off the bat. Not gonna happen though, and sadly its Kirklands fault.
