There is no way Canelo would win back to back against Alvarez and undefeated Yarde, let alone perform two competitive fights against Ward, KO Pascal and UD Hopkins. There is just something wrong with this upcoming fight tonight and I am very intrigued to find out what it is. The odds heavily favoring Canelo, the almost unanimous predictions by experts and real fighters favoring Canelo to win: Unbelievable.

I think Kovalev has a strong start, Canelo hurts Kovalev in the mid-rounds adjusting his timing, but Kovalev finds ways to win rounds down the stretch also. Kovalev earns a 7-5 or 8-4 competitive decision, but the judges give it to Canelo.

 

I think 5rds Kovalev clearly wins, 3 rounds that are low energy but Kovalev controls with the jab and occasional right hand, and 4 rds Clenelo outpoints a gassed Kovalev with occasional counters and some body blows. Announcers talk endlessly about how Clen "finished strong"

I know man, it's insanely perplexing. I think people are realizing that Clenelo is very slippery and shifty, understands defensive angles, and has rock solid chin and built like a bull. He'll finish the fight on his feet.

Finishing the fight on his feet is literally all he has to do to get the UD here.

Four times the money back on Kovalev... I'd picked the guy if it was just 1/1, so these odds seem unreal to me. Let's see if I have missed something others have picked up on, but as off right now I feel real good with having put money on Kova.

BUT

Kovalev is a top tier boxer and Canelo has never, ever KO'd a top level boxer.
Not Shot Mosley, Trout, past prime Cotto, Mayweather, Lara, Golovkin or Jacobs... but now he is going to do it to aguy that would destroy most of those fighters? WTF?
