Maybe, Oscar has one he can borrow. Didn't he start wearing fishnets and pumps after the Trinidad fight?
i think canelo edged it. he had lara running, real running, not that sweet science bull**** running, but actually going for complete avoidance of contact. canelo also landed the harder punches and was the sole reason it even resembled a fight. body punches arent as pretty to watch as punches to the face, but they count too.
Lara did stunk the joint up, it was not the most exciting fight. He stunk the joint up and still clearly beat Canelo. He did both. Cuttting your opponent does not mean an automatic victory. If you want to talk about marked up faces , Canelo had a swollen right eye by the end of the fight. He was even trying to cover up his face at the post conference with some big ol shades LOL Nope. Canelo was not effective at all. That 1 uppercut and maybe 3 or 4 bodyshots that actually connected. But thats about it. Other than that , He was completely inefficient with his offense. Lara outclassed Canelo.
Im not even sure canelo landed half of the bodyshots they had him landing but ill tell you one thing, either canelo has no power or half those shots didnt land because lara never slowed down a bit. Started fast and finished strong.
Who even cares what the polling says. If canelo was leading all that means is there are more people that dont know what they are looking at.
in the eye of the beholder or not boxing has a scoring criteria and it must be upheld. Lara won by the scoring criteria in boxing. if canelo pressed from the opening bell he woulda got the nod because then he could say he forced lara to run, thats not what happened though. Canelo was arrogant and thought he could come out and outbox lara and dropped the first half of the fight. He did better in the middle and then lost the championship rounds. Ring generalship and clean punches landed award the fight to lara. Ring generalship, lara forced canelo to come to him or be content on losing.
Fight could have went either way....but please don't let them fight again would be a cure for insomnia....
I completely agree with your post. Although it's a good example to show that Canelo isn't all that, and boxing is corrupt to the core, I too didn't care about the unfair scoring due to Lara's antics. It's not like Froch vs Dirrell, in which I was happy the spoiling got punished, but it didn't feel like a robbery at all to me.
canelo was rocking lara to the body making him run for his dear life, he gave that fight to canelo. close fight but canelo won it in the later rounds. close fight could have went either way or a draw but i believe the judges got it right.
