Vegas has Canelo -160 and Lara +140. Personally, I'm leaning Lara but I think it's going to be really close so I wanted to get some options on this. Feel free to explain/ break down the fight.

I would list Lara at -200

Well i think Lara is every bit as slick as people say he is… on the outside. Lara’s big issue is that he can’t really maintain his slickness when he isn’t at his optimal range. When he is forced into midrange (ala Martirosyan) he seems less proficient, and when he is forced into close range (Angulo and Molina) he doesn’t seem to have the greatest idea of what to do. The positive for him is that Canelo is not really an inside fighter at all, more of a midrange counter puncher. If Canelo had shown the ability to keep the fight close while unloading his combinations, i would pick him in a second. But as his fights with Trout and Mayweather displayed, if someone isn’t immediately bothered by his power and speed, he doesn’t fluster but he doesn’t shine either.

For me this is such a 50-50 fight, i see it being really close and very competitive, for as long as it goes...

Looking at their resumes… Lara should be favoured

Gotta go with Lara. Canelo doesn't have the greatest stamina and if he plans to chase Lara he will be using his legs and energy alot.

I can definitely see Canelo landing some decent shots though, but despite him being more effective with his offense than Angulo in terms of his combos and accuracy, I do not believe he hits as hard as Angulo hit Lara in their fight so cannot see Canelo stopping him, and I really struggle to see him outpointing Lara.

Heard from a mexican boxing site that Canelo isn't having a great camp, and is above the weight he should be at this point and is not training hard for this fight

Lara slightly ahead in the poll, this suggests that Canelo is a true warrior and a good representative of the sport for taking this fight.
