alex "Lol daaaamn Daniel go easy on me! I'll admit, in hindsight, it's a long shot" Go easy on me haha pathetic
Huh? Boxing history is full of guys moving up in weight, in many cases multiple divisions and having great success. The gulf in skill level between Canelo and Lemieux would be much more of a factor here than size. Many fighters, especially guys like Canelo that are big weight cutters have found their punch resistance/power actually improves moving up. You are way off here.
Astonishing isn't it. Anyone with half a brain cell can tell you Lemieux is nowhere near Canelos level.
Lemieux is a legitimate middleweight and his power had Golovkin's respect. Lemieux would KO Canelo at 160.
He has a slight size advantage and might hit a little harder, besides that Canelo is vastly superior in every way. Lemieux has extremely limited boxing skills and no jab or defense to speak of, Canelo would easily outbox and probably stop him. Lemieux is a BIG step down in class from guys like Lara and Cotto.
Lemieux hits twice harder than canelo ignorant fool...canelo power is average at best against middleweights
Canelo can't knock out Lemieux, and Lemieux can knock out Canelo. However, Canelo is the better boxer and has the quicker hands.
Canelo can't knock out the guy who got starched by an old blown up Rubio? Lemieux isn't exactly Hagler in the chin department. Canelo has an excellent chin and Lemieuxs punching power is overrated.
Lemieux - Bigger Faster feet More active Higher punch out put Harder hitter Better stanima I can't think of any Canelo fight that proves he has an 'excellent' chin. He was never whipped around the face by a middle weight before either.
Yeah just like Chavez Jr., Adrien Broner and Nicolas Walters right? There's a ton of guys that have faltered as well, and Canelo is fighting blown up Welters for a reason you know it, I know it, and most importantly Oscar and Canelo know it.
