I disagree, Kirkland is not awful. He is better than all the fighters you just mentioned in the above post.
I think Golovkin dominated Lemiuex in a way that made people forget how he beat tall jabbers like rosado and Ndam impressively only to not show the same abilities vs Golovkin. I think agendas have sold Lemiuex short That said I think Canelo still beats him and counters him and stops him at some point. This isn't to say he's a bad fighter it's just that I don't feel he beats two of the best guys in the world in or around his weight Is actually like this fight but would rather see Canelo vs Golovkin
If we're going off of skills and ability, Canelo should win, but I don't think it'd be easy. People are seriously thinking James Kirkland beats David Lemieux though? Not a chance. Kirkland has such an atrocious chin. Lemieux would bomb him out.

Donaire got KO'd by Walters because...... he's a natural Bantamweight fighting a Lightweight. Gamboa got KO'd by Crawford because..... he's a natural Featherweight fighting a Welterweight. Chavez Jr. got KO'd because....... he's a chubby MW fighting a natural Cruiserweight. De La Hoya was stopped by BHop because........ he was a natural WW/JMW fighting a real Middleweight he lost to Sturm too. Trinaidad was KO'd because......... he was a Welterweight fighting a real MW.
So nobody has ever gone up in weight and won? You can't compare Lemieux to Crawford, Walters and BHop anyway, he's not anywhere close to those guys level. Not sure what Lemieux has done to be rated so highly, Canelo is leagues ahead of him in ability and resume.
Has Canelo beaten anybody of his size beside shot limited Angulo and severely dehydrated limited Kirkland? Canelo should have 3 losses on his record.
I think Canelo will steal GGG's gameplan. I think his jab is good enough to keep Lemieux away and set up his right hand.
Having close fights with Lara and Trout is way way better than getting schooled by Alcine and KO'd by an ancient Rubio. Lemieux has beaten nobody and been beaten by nobodies. The only people that rate him are deluded GGG groupies
