Canelo says if he could fight any great fighters in history he’d like to go against Sugar Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran and Marvin Hagler.

How would he do against those 3 great fighters?

    Leonard & Hagler at 160
    Duran at 154

it is hard to say how well Canelo does against guys like Hearns or Hagler or Ray or Duran. The guys he is fighting now like even Bivol are not that level. Canelo is fighting guys now like Hearns fought Andries in 1987. Andries in today's world would be a top fighter, and Hearns domolished him. Recently John Scully, a great guy and ex boxer made this comment. Think how significant this comment is. "60 years ago there were TEN TIMES as many fighters in the world than there are now…today we have less fighters and 43 belts to choose from. LETS FACE IT. Boxing sucks."

I wouldn’t bet against Canelo beating all 3. I think he beats Duran and SRL and while I would favor Hagler I wouldn’t do so with confidence

The Duran of the Hagler fight handles him. Leonard I don’t know, Hagler at his best probably just UD’s him with enough urgency to get it done a bit like the Roberto bout.

Why did you leave Hearns out of it?

    Would get chinned.
Which version of Ginger are you using? After 2015 he wouldn't have been able to get to Duran or JMW Leonard's weight due to weigh ins.

yes Canelo would get chinned. Hearns is none of these guys Canelo has been feasting on lately.

I figure Leonard from the Hagler fight would do a little better than Jacobs, so it could go either way. And Duran would just lose at 54 or 160.

we just don't know.. Canelo is not fighting in a deep era and deep fighters. They are rather inexperienced and not at his level. So he is feasting at this point and he should look good. Hearns would have looked great fighting the Andries and Dewitts and Medals all his career.

You keep harking back on this and I don’t agree with it at all.

I think GGG lays out Hearns and gives Hagler a rough fight.
Lara probably goes 1-1 or has otherwise close fights with Duran and Benitez at 154.
Jacobs and Saunders would do okay.
    Past it Kovalev>drained Lalonde etc.
Bivol is quality, similar in level to Hill.
