From welter through super middle this is an unclimbable hill for the ginger. SRL was just a different tier of Greatness.
Man there is a whole lot of r e t a r d on that first page. Delusional fanboyism. I'm no fan of Leonard but it's obvious even the smaller Leonard would frustrate Canelo. Those quick hands and feet would make him look perplexed all night.. Even an inactive 160lber in Billy Joe was winning on common sense scorecards before the well timed but basically lucky punch from Clenelo. Canelo/his team should be jailed for their blatantly obvious fraudulent behaviour and how they've actually managed to make people believe Canelo is this legend lmao
Canelo was better than Leonard hands down and Ray wasn`t very effective at all above 160, he really struggled v Lalonde.
Lmao billy was not winning clearly before the stoppage. He was being flashy with his movement but he wasn’t landing heavy or clean like Canelo was. Then Canelo timed him and broke his face. That definitely wasn’t a lucky shot, but with all your whiny Canelo threads I can tell your stubborn as hell so I’ll stop debating with you right here
Leonard in general is a stylistic challenge for Canelo. He doesn't like movers and he doesn't like fast hands. That said he always manages to catch up with the other guy eventually and sets up the shot he wants. He has heavy, heavy hands and I don't think Leonard would enjoy the power much. To me it's a tossup ... it would be hard to predict the stylistic meshup. The heavier the weight the more in Canelo's favour; the lighter the weight the more I think Leonard wins.
Canelo likes movers a lot and is very good at catching and dropping movers. Khan is a mover with very fast hands and look what happened to him. Bang, just like that. Sniffles was a mover with fast hands too, bang, just like that. Jacobs is a mover with fast hands. Canelo had no problem schooling him and winning that easily. Trout is a mover with fast hands, caught him, dropped him Bambi on Ice style and Canelo was just a young pup back then, he wasn't even prime yet. Canelo has a long history of success against movers with fast hands. That said, Sugar Ray is no ordinary mover with fast hands. He is slicker and has faster hands than any of the people Canelo beat.
Q cries himself to sleep every night, he wakes up with cold sweats in the middle of the night, his nightmares consist of Canelo winning controversial decisions over his heroes.
Let's all bear in mind that this post is from a guy that can't sleep if he doesn't have his Canelo nightlight on ^
Sounds like you're salty because I destroyed your idea that Canelo doesn't like movers. Just admit it, Canelo is great vs movers with fast hands. Khan, Sniffles, Jacobs, Trout all are movers with fast hands. Canelo had a field day on these guys.
Khan has a papier mache chin and was dragged up two divisions. Gee, great victory. Trout -and Lara - arguably beat Canelo in the opinion of many. Floyd gave Canelo a boxing lesson. Jacobs likewise gave Canelo all he could handle. Saunders was arguably ahead when the fight got stopped. Canelo was huffing and puffing like he was trying to catch a train with the sad remains of shot Kovalev, and got shoeshined all night with the jab. Compare that to how he does with guys that stand and fight. Barring Golovkin, Canelo generally wrecks their lives for them. Canelo does much better in general against these dudes. Kirkland, Angulo, Smith, other Smith, Fielding, Chavez Cheeseburger ... I rest my case. Canelo likes to set his punches up and flurry off an opponent's mistake. He likes to put some mustard on his shots. It's hard to nail a guy like that when he's running away. The fact that Canelo has bad knees is also not helping him against movers. Now I never said he CANT deal with movers. Clearly he can. But it's also clear that stylistically he likes guys that come to him and fight him.
