Canelo vs Martinez.

    Am I the only one who thinks that Canelo vs Martinez would be a great fight @160? Canelo is a big kid and wouldn't have weight issues. I guess they would come very close on fight night.

    What do you guys think?

    It would be a good fight, probably won't happen anytime soon if it is true Sergio Martinez hurt his hand and leg in the fight.

    Canelo is skilled enough to make the fight cometitive and could win it, but I would favour Martinez with his movement, speed and experiance.

    Canelo's handlers want absolutely nothing to do with it. Their reasoning (according to Saul) is that it wouldn't be a style that appeals to the fans. :lol:

    Id rather see it at 154 where Canelo is used to fighting at, Martinez can make that weight so I wouldnt see the problem.

    If Martinez moved down to fight him I think it would be one fantastic fight for sure.

    I dont think GBP would take it, and it seems a lot of Canelo fans are scared of that fight....

    If it happened though it would be fireworks while it lasts, both have the power to stop the other at any time. It would be an edge of your seat type fight that would do big numbers.

    rather see at 154. Martinez finally got JR like he wanted. If he still chasing paydays 154 is the place for em to go.

    Martnez wins by late KO or shut out. Alvarez is too flat footed and gets hit too much. He won't walk Martinez down.

    Martinez doesnt 'have' to do anything, but if he wants to fight canelo, why not have it be at a weight they have both been at? Instead of making canelo move to a weightclass hes never been to, when Martinez can comfortably make 154? that is what makes no sense.
