Canelo vs Mike Jones

    Who would win if they fought? They are about even in size Jones is a huge welterweight. Both highly skilled boxers with power. I believe Canelo would win a decision clearly. Maybe dropping Jones with a body shot.

    Canelo TKOs him. Soto-Karass was on the verge of knocking out Jones in the first fight.
    A crisp puncher like Canelo would find him rather easily.

    I say mid to late round stoppage.

    I like to cite the Karrass fight but then Jones won the rematch

    did Jones fix his flaws or just figure out Karrass?

    Not entirely sold on Jones jsut yet

    but Canelo is far from a perfect fighter

    Id favor Canelo at this point in time

    Yes he did.

    Also Canelo just has more tools and im gonna say more power too. Its close but i think he has the edge.

    I would love to see the fight though.

    I dont know if there would be a KO

    Alvarez seems sturdy but his opposition hasnt been the type capable to KO him

    Alvarez power reminds me of Juan Diaz he obivously hits very hard and has solid clean connects but lacks a knockout punch

    Jones i have only watched bits and pieces not sure if he can get Alvarez out of there

    I dont think Mike Jones is all what he's hyped up to be. I think its because americans are starving for another black american star....

    He SQUEEZED by a B caliber opponent, twice.... If you're A caliber, you're suppose to shine and look reasonably better than your opponent. This wasnt the case both times...

    Conversely, Saul Alvarez HAS shined very well vs B caliber opponents. He's proven that he's A caliber material....

    Mike Jones looked good in his last fight, but you can't help but feel he was lobbed a soft touch with Munoz. Alvarez KOs him late.

    Alvarez has very little defense..... Jones is a rangy fighter.... if its a boxing match, Jones wins on skill and size... if it becomes a fight it could go either way... i dont think canelo has a karass chin. he was stunned by a lightweight... Jones couls easily hurt him...

    I'll take Canelo because I have an underlying suspicion that Jones has a fragile glass mandible that will be exposed when he steps up against a class opponent with some pop.

    the only way Jones is getting the Pacquiao fight is by getting a beating first. Canelo would provide that.
