Canelo vs Munguia Reportedly Does 500-550k PPV Buys

Refuse to make the fight that fans are asking for.

Arrogantly tell fans, "I'll fight who I want".

Go into hiding instead of promoting your fight.

Blatantly admit to the world that Munguia is a tuneup by asking for exponentially more money to make the fight that people actually want.


Do all of this and watch people stop paying to see you fight.

 

So about $50,000,000 revenue from PPV, and thats before gate etc?

Not exactly brutal.

 

DAZN still hasn't shown the full fight replay without paying for it.

 

Canelo-Munguia only pulled in the Mexican fan base for their fight.

Charlo brought the black PPV buys which helped.

I don't think Benavidez does significantly more than Munguia or Charlo.

Benavidez doesn't have a solid fan base. Yes he got more popular since he started putting Canelo's name in his mouth recently, but most of his new followers are not Benavidez fans more than they are Canelo haters.

The question begs, does Canelo have enough haters who believe he loses to Benavidez and will buy the fight? I don't think so.

More people are stealing fights nowadays.
