ODLH beat..... Chavez x2 Quartey Whitaker Mayorga Vargas Camacho Wilfredo Rivera Miguel Angel Gonzalez Leija Genaro Hernandez Molina Paez Carr Gatti Campas I think ODLH might have a bit more filler than Canelo, and most people think he beat Mosley 2nd time, Trinidad, where as most people think Canelo lost 1st Golovkin fight. Overall I thought ODLH looked more impressive in his prime beating higher calibre opposition, so I think I'd give the edge to ODLH.
not really Oscar won his first title at 135 and decided to drop down and win a belt at 130 before moving up just so he can say he did, but he was a bigger guy it would be like if devin Haney after the loma fight moved down for a one off vs hector Garcia for his wba title
I believe your wrong, he was a lightweight in every fight eccept the super featherweight title fight, then two fights later he won the WBO lightweight title from Paez.
Canelo has 3 ugly losses where he was dominated Mayweather won 11 rounds GGG won 9 rounds in their first fight Bivol won 11 rounds And these all happened in his prime Oscar has better wins against opponents in their prime The eyeball test also says Oscar was just more skilled and talented all around
I don't think so ODLH was more impressive against world class opposition overall, he definitely has more filler to his resume. And he also has 3 wins over 2 ATG's in Whitaker, Chavez x2, although they were past it still good wins. The only real difference in their biggest fight ODLH vs Trinidad, Canelo vs Golovkin 1. Most people thought ODLH beat Trinidad, where as most people thought Canelo lost to Golovkin. And whilst ODLH did receive a few close decision, he was also hard done by in some of his biggest fights. Where as Canelo has received the benefit of the doubt in every close/controversial fight hes ever had.
Correct. Wins over Tito and Shane would have added huge value to his resume. Yet a loss to GGG would have weakened Canelo’s.
Factual. Oscar's career is legendary. Don't let the flabby promoter gnome he is today get in the way of that
Canelo because male boxers wearing high heels, fishnets, suspenders, etc is not well regarded in Mexican boxing.
Yeah the guy is a disgrace in that regard but a lot of boxers are bad people. Im a fan of Monzon despite all he did outside the ring. In the ring, Oscar beat Ruelas, Hernandez, JCC twice, Gonzales, camacho, gatti andrivalries vs Vargas/Mayorga. He also got two close wins where he arguably won vs Pea and Quartey. He also clearly won vs Tito and Mosley. Found his Waterloo at middleweight when he lost imo vs Sturm and Bhop. Gave Floyd a good fight snd got retired by Pac. Hell of a resume. Canelo also fights everyone yet his resume lacks the names Oscar has imo. The opponents were just better. Canelo also seems to have found his limit at lhw.
De La Hoya fought everybody win or lose, never ducked any challenge and Canelo is a great fighter in his own right Undisputed at 168 and career is still going. As of right this instance, I go with Oscar because he's got the resume, but by the end of it all it could sway towards Canelo based on how well he finishes his career.
Read what you just said and what I said he was a 135 fighter who moved down to take a title in the lower weight I’m almost positive he won a 135 title before the 130 title but would have to double check
