Stop making excuses for Pac. He won a belt at the weight (albeit a vacant one against an undeserving Margarito who was just KO'd by Mosely at 147 and fought his entire career at WW...lol), so he showed he is capable of fighting there. I personally don't think he should...as he is severely undersized. But, for the sake of argument, Canelo would find him and hurt him. Yes..."drainelo" at 152.

Funny how he is "drainelo" when Floyd moves up and dominates him, but, "too big" when people mention Pacquiao fighting him. Lol..

As far as weight goes...if he's too big for Pacquiao he is also too big for Floyd.

Lol...I wouldn't go quite that far. But, he knows better than to even try...against any legit LMW. Canelo is too big and has skills that would nuetralize what Pac was able to do against a plodding punching bag in Margarito. Totally different fight.

Sorry...but that is just not true, boxing_master. Neither could make 135 right now. Both guys are fighting at or near their natural walk around weights...147. That's why they don't have to drain to make the weight, and even come in under most of the time. I do think Pac could get down to 140 easier than Floyd could. So, at most, I think he is a division "smaller" than Floyd, right now.

yea but pacquaio has to eat 6 meals a day to stay at 147 where as floyd does not have to at 147

Well...that's what Ariza said. But, Manny was rehydrating to 147 when he was a super featherweight. Was he eating 6 meals then too? I doubt it. When Floyd was at SFW, he really didn't rehydrate more than 5 lbs over the contracted weight and sometimes he didn't go over it at all. Hmmm...

I think Manny walks naturally around at WW (between 141-147). If his camp wants to ensure he comes at the WW limit, so that he is stronger and can take a punch better at the weight, he might THEN eat more meals to keep his weight up.

Why is this funny? Pacquiao is naturally much smaller than Mayweather. When Mayweather was 19 he weighed 130. When Pac was 19 he weighed 112.

I actually think Pacquiao would have a chance of beating Alvarez. The size is obviously a concern as Pacquiao can't really force his weight above 150, and Canelo will balloon up to 170ish, but Pacquiao is quick and mobile enough to cause him problems.

Pac fighting at 112, that does not mean he naturally weighed 112. It means he drained down to 112. Someone did a thread awhile back that shows the weights by age of Floyd and Pac, which dispels the Floyd is bigger theory.

As I mentioned earlier, Pac's speed would give Canelo problems. But, Canelo would eventually figure out the timing, and when he does, he would hurt Pacquiao.

This whole Pac "can barely get to 150" crap is nonsense. And clearly a double standard. Floyd weighed in at 150, and came into the ring at 150 (or less if I recall). All that is required is for Pac to weigh in between 148 and 152, given the same circumstances. He CAN do that.

The main difference is that Floyd's a defensive counter punching fighter who can make a fighter pay with every miss. Also, his arms are longer than Pac's. Canelo could not find him and could not avoid being hit. Even what he did land was not clean. Pacquiao will have to take a lot more risks to be effective, and Canelo's sharp punches and good combinations would find him.

I'm not calling for this fight...just answering the OP.

Stop saying that. They are the same size.*Pac turned pro at 16. in 1995.*Floyd in 1996, at 19.*When Floyd was 16 in 1993. He was fighting at 106 in the amateurs.*When Pac was 16 in 1995 he fought at 108 in the pros.*Stop saying theres that much of a difference in size. Because there isnt. Pac is younger, and turned pro earlier. When they were both 16, they were both at 106-108.

So he cut down to 112, and ballooned up to 130?

I don't know exactly what he ballooned up to. But, again...there is a thread that disproves what you are saying about the weight disparity. See modernfonzie's comment above as well.
