    This fight almost happend when canelo was 21 . The fight was cancelled because Paul Williams had been in a motorcycle accident . Paul Williams had already been knocked out by martinez 2nd round had a rough fight with Lara who in my opinion won. . Who do you think would of won

    At that time, Canelo had concrete feet and questionable stamina. No way he could have handled the long tall volume punching southpaw. Williams by decision.

    Williams struggled with the limited Margarito and then immediately got schooled by Quintana(who?).

    if it would go to the scorecards (which it probably would) all 3 judges end up having a stroke before the final bell out of scoring confusion.

    Williams KO1 Quintana in the rematch four months after the first fight.

    There's also a good chance Canelo would have stopped Williams. This fight was to take place sometime after he had been KTFO by the KO artist with a a whopping 50% KO ratio.

    Paul Williams never used his heightnor reach to his advantage. Was always wide open for counters too.
