Can't see anything other than a Canelo win - I think Plant will maybe have some early success, but he will gas, and Canelo will be able to set his feet and wear Plant down much the way he did with BJS.

The biggest thing in this fight is that - at least up until now - Plant hasn't really demonstrated both the pop to get Canelo's respect, or the elite gastank to work for every second of every round and disrupt Alvarez rythym and stop him setting up those big chopping bodyshots he has been perfecting.

    Canelo late TKO/KO for me

I agree with most of what you're saying here, but I don't necessarily think Plant needs to work "every second of every round" to disrupt Canelo's rhythm with some regularity. I also suspect Plant will see the final bell, although a TKO/late stoppage would not surprise me in the least.

Plant is good but not good enough to beat canelo. Too soon for him. He will last the distance but ultimately lose a clear ud

Canelo is rightfully a favourite. There's no doubt that Plant has the athleticism and skill to trouble Canelo a lot. I also believe that he has the right mindset - he believes he will win when stepping into the ring in November. He doesn't see himself as a clear underdog. Confidence counts for a lot. Plant is an undefeated champion in his prime and he will fight hard.

I don't doubt that Canelos last couple opponents did try to win in the first place, but well, they knew they would have to give a career best performance to do it - they gave it a shot, and then they packed it in when things didn't go their way. I feel that it will be different with Plant. Plant already not giving in on Canelos demands to take the fight on short notice tells a lot. Plant wants to prepare well and give himself the best shot to win.

Now, what it will come down to, is the following thing: does Plant have the toughness and chin to go 12 rounds with Canelo? Has he that 'dog' in him? We simply don't know, because Plants past opponents have not had the quality to possibly expose that. It doesn't mean that he doesn't have it. We know that Canelo has that 'dog' in him when needed. But if Plant has that 'dog' in him too, and I suspect that he has, I believe we will be in for a surprise.

I don't predict an upset. And I would not bet money on Plant. His punch resistance remains a question mark. Canelo is a master-boxer and he is special. In any case, Canelo wins every remotely close fight on the scorecards.
But my feeling is that this will be Canelos toughest fight since the Golovkins fights, and even the Mayweather fight.

Very possible, when you fight the best, certain fighters have an ability to rise to the occasion and be better than they've ever been. I think we could see a performance of a lifetime out of Plant next weekend. He seems very motivated and determined to compete with Canelo and give him a run for his money. The main thing from Plant is that he needs to avoid getting hit with a big shot that gets him in trouble. If he can do that, I think we'll be headed to a close contentious decision because Canelo is not a high volume fighter. Many fighters in the past have been able to win rounds against Canelo and keep fights competitive on the cards. I think Plant certainly can do that, and I think there's a very real scenario where he manages to outpoint Canelo win some early rounds and stay out of danger as the fight goes on.

Plant's elusiveness is the key to this, he can't trade with Canelo, he needs to be slick and make Canelo walk into jabs and straights, and smother him on the inside. Plant is really good at gauging distance, keeping that outstretched jab out there and controlling range. But in some of his fights he's shown a tendency to get lazy down the stretch and get sucked in to fighting on the inside too much. He's got to stay very disciplined against Canelo, keep his wits about him at all times, and if he does get trapped on the ropes, be slippery and keep a tight guard. He might be in good enough shape to absorb some body punches and not have it affect him. I personally can't wait to see what Plant brings to the table here, it's a fascinating matchup and I'm looking forward to a great fight.

Plant is going to fight his heart out. I feel like theres too many posters on here that are not giving plant his due. Plant will put his name on the map nov. 6, win or lose. Lets not forget, plant is the naturally bigger man, neither. Im going with a Canelo close decision. Im not feeling confident about a canelo KO at all.

Easy night for your boy, Plant seems to open .As you know Canelo has fast powerful bursts , this will unsettle plant, Plant (IMO) can't hurt Canelo & is doomed to fail!!...

Canelo has the hand speed to get into & exploit those openings that Plant lazily leaves open....we'll see...
