You should learn difference between opponent quality and significance of fight.

This fight is the most signifcant fight of Canelo's career but Plant isn't even top 10 opponents of Canelo. Canelo believes that this is the most important fight and I agree him.

 

Not sure when was the so called peak of Billy Jane Saunders though I remember he was apparently an undefeated 2 weight division world champion when he fought Canelo and had a full training camp. In any event Plant is better than BJS in every way.

Correction this is the most significant fight of Plant’s career. Canelo already failed in the most significant fight of his career against a certain Floyd Mayweather Jr. In fact he was humiliated and taken to school losing every round.

In respect of quality of opponent Canelo does not realise it but this is one of the best opponents he has ever faced. He thinks Plant cannot hurt him which is another mistake.

Mayweather was and still is the best opponent of Canelo by far. However, fight was for 154 title and not that important for Canelo. Canelo's career fight was Golovkin 2 cause he should have collected middleweight titles. Plant fight is even more important cause he gonna be the first undisputed 168 lber in history.

1. The correct terminology is quality of opponent not opponent quality.
2. When you fight the distinguished acclaimed pound for pound undefeated Champion defending your belts for the unified 154 belts you had better believe that is the most significant and important fight in your career which the history books will record. The fact you cannot recognise that shows your lack of understanding. Then again I note your young age on your profile hence lack of wisdom and experience. You really need to learn from your elders and betters. The fact this was the 3rd highest grossing in PPV revenues fight in history buttresses the point. Clearly you are not a candidate for the top Business Schools.

3. The 168 pound belts are not more important than the 154 belts as neither division is one of the classic original historic weight divisions. Happy to give you a boxing history tutorial if you want.

4. Canelo won the 2nd fight against Lil G and secured the Middleweight belts Lil G had. Your text seem confused on this factual point.

5. Caleb Plant is an undefeated IBF world champion and was an excellent amateur boxer before he turned professional however he is not an established household name but he will be when and if he defeats Canelo. It’s a more important and significant fight for Plant than Canelo.
