Canelo vs Prime Joe Louis

It`s hard to see how he could ever prove that, he has the ability to improve and become an ATG, but he will never face an opponent near Hagler`s level.

 

canelo would be knocked out in less than 3 rounds by joe louis ... canelo is not that good nor could he even beat an old ggg and was brought up by maywheather

 

The main issue for Canelo would be that Joe Louis doesn't weigh 168 pounds, if he did, Canelo would probably KO him. As it is, Joe Louis was 215 pounds and carried that weight well, so I think Joe gets outboxed until he wears him down through sheer size and KOs him. Kind of like how Dave Allen vs Mayweather Jr would go.

 

What if he fights Beterbiev/Bivol after they clear LHW?

 

Good points to some degree but Canelo would do better v Louis than Floyd would have.

 

Bivol is better than Beterbiev.

 

Joe wasn`t as easy to outbox as anybody Canelo has out-pointed thus far and would have to starve himself to make 168 so tat`s a moot point unless you are making a P4P arguement.

 

If Canelo beats Louis, that makes Mayweather the GOAT at heavyweight.

 

It would be like Loma beating Canelo.

 

Maybe chinny against men that were much bigger than Canelo plus he punched far harder than Canelo most guys that weigh over 200lbs do, Louis would take Canelo`s power far better than Canelo could take Louis`s power, Canelo has never been hit with a shot by a fighter as heavy as Louis.

 

Louis had amazing accuracy.

 

Canelo has never knocked out any fighter that weighed as much as Joe or had a reach like that with a jab like that, Smith cannot jab the way Louis did or throw fast combo`s like him either, Joe was a special fighter and too big for the tiny Canelo.

 

Canelo has never weighed 188 and doesn`t have Schmeling`s height and reach.

 

Bigger? He was far skinnier than Joe and lacked his powerful combo`s, Louis would have destroyed Smith, no way could Smith have gone the distance with Joe.
