Wouldve loved seen this fight. Defintely give the edge to Martinez. Wouldvbe been a very difficult fight for both. but I know Martinez's style wouldve been a nightmare for Canelo. Considering if it was the same MArtinez who destroyed Pavlik.. That Martinez

Canelo was calling out Sergio and his people told him to STFU, which he did.

While Canelos counters would have seen a lot of success, it´s Sergios footwork and speed that gives him the edge.
    Martinez UD.

I think Canelo is the clearly better and more skilled ighter but I think SM takes the fight 8-4 or 7-5 in a competitive and entertaining fight. Hes bigger, faster, and has way more stamina, and Canelo historically looks bad against fleet footed movers

    Canelo.
Even if he doesn't, he still wins on the cards,

The OP refers to a prime Martinez, not the shot cripple Canelo undoubtedly wanted a piece of. Any version of Martinez close to his prime beats Canelo soundly.

That's quite a hard cool. Canelo is the better textboot boxer, if you will, as Sergio was quite unorthodox. I was impressed by Canelo in his only 160 outing to be fair. I don't know, I think it's close and I hate to run that joke but it means Canelo on the cards.

That interview was before Martinez fought Chavez, before he got injured and became shot / crippled due to the injury sustained vs Chavez.

Two years ago I would have said Martinez. Canelo keeps improving though imo and today I feel its a very very close fight and one I start leaning towards Canelo.

i always thought martinez was overrated and thought martin Murray beat him in Argentina, canelo would win by late stoppage or wide UD in my personal opinion

I guess you didn’t read the post or watch the video. In the video Canelo admits he wanted Martinez, but his people convinced him to stop calling Sergio out. That video was from June 2012, right after Sergio fought Macklin. So why are you saying the opposite?
