Canelo vs. Rocky Marciano

Let me get this straight. Rocky Marciano knocked out probably the 2 greatest 175 pounders ever in Archie Moore and Ezzard Charles, who were both 2 pretty good heavyweights as well. Canelo lost to Bivol at 175, who, at best, is the 2nd best lightheavy right now. In what fricking Twilight Zone alternative universe do we live in where people believe Alvarez actually stands a chance? STOP THE INSANITY, PEOPLE, lol.

True, and I don't want to talk about Rock's power that knocked Joe Louis out of the ring, the man was past prime but still 6ft2 and 210 plus pounds.
Rocky would beat every single lhw today.

 

Rocky would fight LHWs.
I can imagine Rocky with modern training, nutrition and peds...he would destroy every single lhw and cruiserweight today.

 

A CW (probably the greatest CW ever if you wanna stretch it) who has knocked multiple ATG HW's senseless vs. a MW that was dominated by the only prime LHW that he ever fought.................how do we all really think this would turn out?

Canelo outmoderns Rocky to a late stoppage.

 

Cant see why people are dismissing Alvarez. He certainly brings some advantages to this matchup and isn't significantly outsized. It's okay to favor Rocky but hardly a mismatch

 

He is massively outsized. Marciano's frame and bones are massively larger.

 

Canelo gets ****ed up. I know diversity of thought is good all but it's kind of concerning that even the most obvious of threads rarely get a unanimous consensus.
