    Right, 2 years ago.

    Apart from that?

Don't see the point to be honest.

    Yeah, 2 years ago.

He's been waiting for his shot, after earning it.

Tell me this, when was the last time you watched Rhodes fight?

I've seen Rhodes box live, when he at the o2 on the Haye-Barrett card.

He's a good fighter, but he won't be Alvarez.

    I don't like the fight.

Right so he wins an eliminator but doesn't deserve a shot.

Yet Alvarez who has basically done **** all at light middle weight deserves a shot at the vacant title against the almighty Matt Hatton.

remind me what Alvarez did to earn a title fight or to even call himself a champion at 154lbs where he has never had a fight.

Alvarez has never faced anyone nearly as big, strong or technically skills as rhodes.

I didn't see his last fight. I saw the fight against Messi and Jamie Moore, and seen him live once before that aswell. He's a good fighter, but I don't think he beats Alvarez.

'Deserves' only exists in the minds of boxing fans.

He won an eliminator, he gets his chance. Simple. Whether people thinks he wins or whether he's a 20/1 dog is irrelevant.

what fights did you like for Alvarez so far in his career. he has been gifted a title. its debatable whether he is a top 10 light middleweight. rhodes is 100% a top 10 light middle.

He deserves his shot a hell of a lot more than Alvarez did and this fight is a lot more competitive than any of his fights recently, and your boy Khan's upcoming fight.

I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it. His eliminator was 2 years ago. Not now. Why do they pick him out now?

Alvarez didn't do anything to earn it. He was given it, and he's being given Ryan Rhodes. Why do they bring him up (Rhodes) after 2 years? To put him over, say guys like Wolak, Martirosyan etc etc who would step in just shows the protection of him, but as you and others have stated, Ryan won the eliminator for it, so my argument really can't stand for that, so I can understand.

I just don't think he'll win it, personally.

I know I said it about Zbik but he was handed an interim. A bit like what Alvarez has been handed. I don't think either of them earned it.

Let's not change the subject but I don't think anyone was complaining about Zbik being No.1 contender, just that they didn't want to see him in their with Martinez.
