ggg should offer canelo a 157 cw and 70% of the purse... but no belts on the line. if canelo wants a belt, he can pay out of his purse for a shot at it, or come to 160 and take it.
if oscar declines, then they just dont want none of 3g and canelo is more bark than bite.

It's a big fight either way, I agree no belts are needed.

And if GGG does not make a counter cw offer and 70% of the purse does that mean GGG is more bark than bite?

to canelo fanatics, it probably does. 157 and 70% is generous enough to canelo that turning it down is a pretty good clue that he doesnt want the fight.
canelo likes to puff up his chest and tell the world what a warrior he is and how he will fight anybody... well, a better chance to prove it is never going to come.

Canelo fought cotto 20-80 (5/20 mill) when he was arguably the bigger star. Canelo wanted the fight because it would be good for his resume and he thought he would win, Cotto didn't need the fight as much.

Canelo fought floyd @ 152 with close
to a 10/90 split (5/41.5 mill), because he thought he could win and wanted to make a name for himself.

Canelo has already dared to be great and now he wants to get some reward for it. GGG huggers are giving him **** and there hero has never done anything like canelo has.

GGG should offer 10/90 @ 160 and be glad he gets the fight and at that split he most certainly will.

Canelo doesnt need GGG like GGG needs Canelo, he has to make some concessions.

    Canelo didn't turn down 152 @ 10/90 vs floyd, would ggg turn down 158 @ 10/90?

Don't fight for middleweight titles and then cry you aren't a middleweight then. You come in over 154 at the weight in then you ARE a middleweight. Then there's what he rehydrates to which sees him weigh more of fight night than many of his fellow middleweights. He's not even small for the weight.

How the **** isn't he a middleweight again?

    Are you serious?
    Cotto isn't a middleweight either!
Surely you have a higher iq then that.
It was an opportunity for Canelo to make a name for himself, he took a pay cut and went for it.

155 is much closer to the jmw limit then mw limit.

Canelo has stated many times he comes in at 165-170 on fight night for the majority of his fights which is the same as any jmw. He has also said he has never come close to 180 which had been claimed. He might have been as high as 175 once but that is a rare occassion. GGG always fights @ 175+ thats why he cant make 155 ever.

I think the whole reason Canelo vacated was because they're working on a split larger than 70-30, but the trial made it impossible to work on the WBC's timeline.

I don't buy that Canelo is a ducker or coward, or that GGG has unreasonable demands- he was prepared to take short money against bigger names before.

I get that people are frustrated, but by and large, it's been an overreaction to Canelo vacating.

I am pretty sure that I've read here from someone that claimed insider knowledge that canelo's team turned down CW 157 with 70-30 split.

Lara and Trout is a start. He will get more credit than fighting Eubanks or Wade type fighters.

Cotto was the lineal middleweight champ. The fact he was small for the weight is neither here nor there. It's really not difficult. If you weigh more than 154 but less than 160 lbs at the weigh in you are a middleweight. If these guys don't want to fight middleweights then stay the **** at LMW. They choose to go up, call themselves champions at the weight and then ***** about the opposition. Sorry that **** doesn't cut it with me.

So in conclusion my IQ is fine, yours on the other hand...
