I was impressed with Canelo. 168 is not too strong a division overall. Zurdo does not impress me at all and I think Canelo would beat him easily. I think Uztagei is basic but is a big puncher and would give Canelo a tough fight. Benvenidez I think would be the toughest fight. I would lean towards him beating Canelo but by no means is that guaranteed. He's still pretty raw. Thoughts?
disagee -- definitely beats Eubank and I think he beats Groves too, just look at their form. I think Smith is a 50/50 due to smith's size advantages
For me his stops Groves at this stage. Jnr, not sure if Canelo would stop him, probably go for Canelo by UD . Out of the 3 i'd give Smith the best chance, maybe 50/50
His first fight at 168 not impressed at all. But I don't know much about Colum Smith. But he has the height, reach and power as advertised he would give Canelo a beating. Canelo's corner might have to consider pulling him out.NO Mas STOPPAGE!
I give both Smith and Benavidez a 50/50 chance of beating red (and each other too for that matter.) As for Groves, as much as I like the bloke, he's never been world level in my mind and is already showing signs of decline: red beats him and probably makes him look like an amateuer in the process. Uzcategui may snatch the odd round but overall doesn't fare much better either: red figures him out and beats him too. All in all, red isn't going to be beaten apart from a flawless performance and even then, with his history of receiving questionable decisions, even that might not be enough.
Groves has a significant size advantage over Canelo. He is a big SMW and is wide too and carries big power. Canelo would be outmatched. Eubank has a great chin and engine and could wear Canelo down who only fights in spurts.
