I think Trout beats him but like I've said before this fight has "controversy" written all over it, think it could end on a sour note with the decision not going to the right man.

    Oh i know that.

But Miniburgos also won very clearly against Rocky Martinez, yet he still got robbed in a disgusting manner.

Im sure Miniburgos would have that well deserved win in his resume had he have Haymon manage him. :good

Cotto was sluggish with his punches BushBaby . I agree he gave a great performance against Floyd but he just didnt look effective against Trout .

Has it ever occurred to you that maybe he looked that way because Trout is better than you thought?? Who did you think was gonna win going into that fight??

I gather you're making excuses for Trout beating Cotto by using the Floyd fight. I knew Cotto would lose to Trout & I knew he'd give Floyd hell. Cotto is a very good fighter & they scouted the wrong man for the December fight.

Okay... ?? How am i even making excuses ?? You dont hear me saying Cotto won the fight or got robbed did you ? Btw i predicted Cotto winning on points due to the fact Trout hasnt fought anyone close to the calibur of Cotto . Much respect to Trout on that cause he proved me wrong . I call it like i see it , Cotto did not look good on fight night and Trout went in there and did what he was supposed to do and got the W .

He looked the same as he always had at 154.

why is it do or die for canelo?

it sucks for alvarez that so many fans have made expectations for him, unrealistic or realistic, because of poor management by gbp.

jmm, chavez sr, morales, barrera...they all valiantly lost at some point in their careers.

canelo just has to make a good showing for himself and hell be fine.

surely, hell be a shitload better than if he wouldve continued to defend his title agaisnt guys like cotto or angulo, which only complete douchebags were advocating here on the esb forums.

regardless, its great that we actually have a legit fight here unlike that bull**** we had to endure with sauls last four title defenses.

    absolute garbage.

True. Between this and Donaire vs. Rigo things are looking up.

canelo versus trout is the best fight for the first half of 2013, mma or boxing. two, young undefeated and in-their-prime champs with one calling out the other and one accepting the challenge.

unbelievable how some canelo nuthuggers were praying for a cotto or angulo title defense as opposed to trout.

horrible, horrible fans that are just plain bad for boxing.

Hey Quincy giving Canelo props! Not something you see every day! :good

In all seriousness tho, i was also getting tired of Canelo's last couple of opponents, and im glad he's going up against Trout next, and i give him full props for that. :deal

of course im giving canelo "props" for fighting a legit 154.

i just want to see good fights.

and that gomez, cintron, mosely, lopez **** was just garbage.

i got the same, warm fuzzy feeling about trout/canelo as i did with dlh/tito. however it goes its the best fight at 154 right now.

why in the world would anyone want to see canelo/cotto with trout willing and able? i just wanted to slap people here whenever i heard canelo versus cotto and stupid torch theories/pr-mez angles.

No doubt about it, man i feel you on that.

A fight with Cotto would be more exciting i think, but thats no excuse to leave Trout hanging, when he beat Cotto afterall...So Canelo-Trout it is, bring it the **** on! :bbb
