I wonder how well he can take a shot as well. He got rocked against Cotto Jr. Damn I might change my pick to Trout :-(

I got Trout in this fight but I also think I may be making a mistake here, Based on Cotto being able to find a home for his left hooks that did seem to catch Trouts attention.

if a faded Cotto can get in that much I am sure a fresher more natural Jr middle weight who is still young, should be able to get in his work....

Close fight IMO I like Trout here but the question is can he win a close fight on the cards against Canelo?:think

I know Austin can cause a lot of problems for the young Canelo.....but I think Canelo is the goods. He's still young but has a ton of experience with a lot of momentum. Austin has momentum as well but I think the power will be the difference. Both are superb boxers...the height and length of Trout might give Alvarez some issues finding range in the early rounds...but I suspect Canelo closes the gap by the mid rounds and the power begins to break Trout down for a late stoppage or a UD for Canelo. It's a hard fight to predict but I'll go with the favorite.

True but it was that dominant though, if this is a close fight you know Canelo gets the win....

You think it was that dominant? I thought it was about 8-4 for Trout. I've seen MUCH worse decisions.

One judge only gave Cotto a round :!:

I gave Cotto two rounds it was pretty bad, I could see you having it 8-4 there were a couple of close rounds but I just think Trout set the tone early and fought his fight he never allowed Cotto to make it Cottos fight in any of the rounds....

I had it 10-2 for Trout, I think Trout will use the same game plan here Canelo has a style that is much like Cotto, the difference will be Canelo is accurate, higher work rate, a full fledged Jr Middleweight, good foot work, good countering ability and youth...

Keep in mind when Trout faced a counter puncher Delvin Rodriguez, you saw a different Trout. However the dynamics are different Canelo shorter has more of miguels style, and trout has been in two camps with Margarito simulating the style of Cotto.....

So I think Trout wins a close fight but gets short changed on the cards

Big credit to Canelo for overriding his handlers and insisting on fighting Trout. He wants to achieve greatness.
