That's the impression I got, and I only watched highlights. What kind of puncher is Trout compared to Miguel's brother? Brb, going to watch Cotto-Trout

I watched Delvin Rodriguez vs. Austin Trout instead. Really fast, finding and testing jab he uses a lot, he doesn't cave easily and he's comfortable on the defensive, from what I've seen. Should be a great fight.

Great news. Hope they are going to be both in healthy and in great shape. It's the real test for Canelo. If he pass it there will be a mega fight with Floyd on the horizon. The fight might turn out to be legacy defining for both of them. I have to say I got Canelo in this one as long as Trout doesn't find somehow another gear.

It was still a pretty good win. He never fought at that stage and he was not intimidated by the even or by the very experienced fighter in front of him. He fought very well in that fight.

Props to Canelo. Trout is a damn good skilled and tough fighter.

    Hell of a fight.

I agree. He may be able to take Canelo into the deep waters and drown him but i see Canelo having an answer for most of Trouts arsenal.

I honestly think it's a very smart fight from GBP. Trout is very talented boxer but he doesn't pack a big punch. That means that he won't spark out Canelo. He will have hard time to convincingly out-box him enough to get a decision. He is lanky so he will be vulnerable to the left hook and he will eat some right hands enough to stun him here and there. All this in my mind adds up to a somehow wide decision for Canelo in a competitive fight.

P.S. this fight and Lara fight are good fights to prepare you for a Floyd fight. Not that they are as good but they are the boxers in the weight division.

Great fight! Props to both, though more for Canelo as Trout has nothing to lose really. This should be a real good one.
