Over at B Scene, Canelo admits negotiations are very tough with Cotto. Indicates that he really wants 155 for the Middleweight Tittle and also 50/50.

They expect the fight to be signed by end of December, but admits that negotiations are very hard with Team Cotto.

155 is joke, you can fight in CW.but please don't put titles on the line.

The winner of this fight needs to fight GGG next

 So much for daring to be great.
I would take 160 in a heart beat. Less weight management and dehydration during camp.

    Why not 160?

Its not like he's going down in weight and he's fighting cotto

Cotto will have to bow in negotiations. Any of the biggest money fights available (Canelo, Mayweather II, Pacquiao II) will be a case of the A-side demanding the fight much closer to 155 than the 159 that Cotto won the MW title at.

This benfits Cotto, bad move by Canelo.

Canelo obviously doesn't want the fight.

Canelo saying he still wants to stay close to 154, as a future negotiating tool down the road. 155 vs 160 makes little difference for Cotto fight, but coming in at 155 is a negotiating tack in case he has to fight GGG.

Cotto coming in at 155 was more of same. Both camps realize that if they face Golovkin at some point, their only chance is GGG coming in drained. The last thing they want to do is set precedence of fighting at full 160.

Stop that fuxking pusxy behavor.. 160 is 160, fight at 160 or vacate the belt..

I agree, I do not get how Canelo wants it at 155 vs. 160, it would benefit Canelo for it to be at 160.

That's a very clever way of looking at it.

He may already be thinking about negotiations with GGG

i like canelo but holy **** this literally makes no sense. cotto came in at like 157 or something for the martinez fight and canelo couldnt make 154 against angulo?

canelo weighs 170-172 on fight night he can easily outhustle cotto. i just wonder if the fight happened at 155 and he won the middleweight title from cotto would he then defend it at that weight? because that would just be a total sham
