    Yup, sounds familiar right?

According to Boxing Scene, Canelo is going to try to steal Floyd's September date. Canelo tried to take Cinco De Mayo back, but due to Pacquiao being the opponent, he didn't want to compete with the "Fight of the Century".

So, he's doing Mayweather's September date instead.

How much will this affect Floyd's PPV? Fans are now ****ed off at how boring the May/Pac fight was. Casuals seem to be completely turned off from both Pac and Floyd fights. Floyd no longer has a superstar like Pacquiao to push Canelo off, and there is no other "well-known" opponent that casuals know besides Pacquiao for Mayweather to choose that will draw in good numbers.

And now... he has a young rising-star like Canelo, who just had a great KO win, to compete with on his date. And for most people, they'll probably would rather tune in to watch him fight than Floyd box, especially when people are thinking of their last fights.

With that said, should Floyd just go ahead and still fight on September? Arum advised that Mayweather should just skip the September date and wait for Pacquiao to heal for a May 2016 rematch.

Do you think Floyd should skip the date and wait? Or go ahead and compete with Canelo in September? How much of an affect do you see it having on his PPV numbers?

The best way for Floyd to counter this would be to just have a fight televised on network television, and forgo PPV altogether.

This is all up to the cable and satellite providers. They are not going to give out two PPV slots on the same day. Considering all of the money they've made off of Mayweather fights, it seems pretty obvious which fighter they would choose.

There have been competing PPV cards the same night before, I'm almost certain. But even if I'm wrong, what makes you think Canelo isn't just going to fight on free HBO?

He said this last time and he was forced to move when they announced MayPac.

May will do sth again and Canelo will be forced off one more time.
