    Okay and even if Canelo's fight is free and Mayweather is on PPV, that honestly makes it worse. Because that makes casuals even MORE inclined to watch Canelo over Mayweather- especially when they think of their last fights. Canelo's KO has been all over ESPN, while May/Pac has been complained and spat upon for the past week.

    So expensive, "boring" Mayweather (and he'll make it expensive since the opponent will suck) versus free, exciting Canelo...

    And you can garunatee Floyd loses almost all Mexican viewers, and a lot of the casuals. So, it's just a lose lose situation. I don't see what he can do besides wait because he isn't fighting Cotto or Golovkin and those are the only two Names that could kinda compete.

    Canelo ain't fighting for free again, especially against Cotto. HBO doesn't have it in their budget.

    Canelo/Cotto > Mayweather/Khan, Brook, Thurman, etc

    I'd put Mayweather/Golovkin > Canelo/Cotto but unfortunately that's only a pipe dream. :[

    Perhaps, Canelo/Cotto or Golovkin for September.... it's more possible

    Well a major reason the numbers were so high on the Kirkland fight is because the Mayweather fight was getting replayed that night for free.

    Canelo should try and make his next match a PPV fight. If he can get Cotto in the ring, they could probably crack 5-600,000 buys.

    LOL Canelo has ZERO chance of fighting on Sept 12th unless he fights Mayweather.

    Canelo against Cotto is bigger than Mayweather against Golovkin

    Mayweather's gonna have to move

    What makes you think Cotto has a better chance this time around?

    Ooooooh. Im liking Canelo, the politics/theatre of boxing provide a lot of the enjoyment as a bonus to the fights themselves. That being said Canelo's "threat" to fight on the same day as Floyd has more juice this time around. Im going to make some beef jerky and enjoy the show.

    Really?

    So exactly WHO is Alvarez gonna fight in September?

    Mayweather just sold 4.4 million PPVs.

    Let me repeat that;

    Mayweather just sold *4.4* million PPVs.

    Anyone who thinks Alvarez has the wherewithall to push Mayweather off of the September date is seriously delusional...
