I remember Miguel Cotto trying the shoulder roll against Margarito in the late rounds when Tony started to hammer the crap out of him, it didnt work^^

Exactly, I don't care how tough you are, your shoulders and arms are gonna be tenderised meat after a few rounds of plasterhands.

THis is how Pacquaio prepared for Margarito, Cotto please take note:

Canelo did not look good when he was attempting to use his "shoulder roll" against Gomez.

Canelo isn't much of a counter puncher. He needs to learn to counter punch before he tries to shoulder roll.

I think he said "tongue roll" not "shoulder roll", he's trying to please that hot chick of his before Toney and Mayweather do.

I remember De La Hoya trying this after working with Floyd Sr. I dunno, I have my doubts if this is going to work for Canelo. I'm not sure if he has the natural attributes that Toney and Floyd Jr have that would allow him to excel at this.

If he(Canelo)can perfect the roll he may have a longer career in the sport. He's gonna end up at 160-168lbs so he better learn defense now. He's too small to be so offense oriented at those weights.

He must of been trying out a new defense because he was losing to that bum gomez!
