The big problem here is Canelo isn't really the A side against Bivol. He's already lost to him.

If he wants the fight he dances to Bivols tune which might well mean he has to accept it's 168 or nothing.

None of those fights you mentioned were rematches to a fight he was totally whooped. If he was so eager, why is he fighting Berlinga and Mungia. The rematch could have happened withih 6 months of that ass whoopin. Now he's barking rematch once Bivol is lined up to fight Beterbiev, a fight Bivol has a very good chance of losing. And if Bivol loses, he won't fight him because Bivol will have no belt. But, we will see. Hope I'm wrong.

AB was never on Canelo's to do list. I just think the Bivol loss messed up his ego. He's talking now to make it seem he wants it, but knows that Bivol may lose to AB. We'll see if his tune changes if Bivol comes out victorious.

Yea, maybe he wants the undisputed title? Maybe he has his confidence back?
How is it so unfathomable that Canelo would want to fight Bivol again? Just look at his track record.

It's not unfathomable at all. Just that he is the cash cow in the sport. He could literally make a phone call and fight anyone from Welterweigth to light heavyweight. He could have rematched already but
Not unfathomable. Just that Canelo can literally make a phone call and fight anyone from welterweight to light heavyweight. The rematch would have brought in more money than the Golovkin, Mungia and Berlanga fights. Lastly, if a man can do something and doesn't, it means he doesn't want to do it. That's why I have my doubts. Again, I hope I'm wrong, I want to see the rematch.

What??? I didnt stopped reading at "why bring it up?"

So in your world and everyone around you, everyone does what they say, huh? Like the simpleton in HS saying he will become president, the fat coworker talking about how his diet has been going for 4 years, floyd when he said he'll fight anyone (HAHA) but retired instead etc etc etc.

Legit the worst argument i have heard on this board.

Are you asking me? I don´t know if you continued reading or not. But "I didn´t stopped" sounds like you didn´t stop, so you must have continued on reading the rest of my post.
And it would be odd for you to respond without actually reading through what you are responding to.

I tend to agree. Canelo is undersized at 175. The 168 class is really about right for him.

Bivol is already a bad stylistic matchup for Canelo. Add all the extra size and Canelo is really swimming upstream on this one.

And unless Beterbiev becomes old overnight, I'd fear for Canelo's safety in there.

I wonder what Canelo thinks right now? Would he be down to challenge Beterbiev?

There’s a high chance he gets knocked out, especially with his lack of footwork and cardio issues
