i dont think it possible to make an assessment on canelos high level of boxing skills due to his lack of legit competition. he was successful against rhodes but hes the only one that came to fight...as a 10-1 underdog.

the other four defenses are essentially worthless for handicapping purposes othere than the fact that canelo successfully fought through a cut agaisnt mosley, which is a great experience.

some guys get cut for the first time and then go on to lose badly(winky/hopkins,paq/morales).

 

You have to realise that fi he goes to 160, he'll be fighting guys like Chavez who 6 foot+ and weigh 180+ on fight night.

Sergio is a pretty small MW himself but gets away with it.

here, ESB moderator Internationalbutt states that the 5'7" forbes said that canelo was "short for his division" and that he was "no taller than himself" after sparring with canelito in preparation for the mosley fight.

so , i guess that the moderator of this forum is "to stupid" as well thinking that canelito is 5'7" as well?

by the way, ive never heard of any mosley sparring partners ever saying that shane was "short" for his division even though 154 is historically a 5'9" to 5'11" division.
