GGG has no leverage he has to fight at 155 or move up to 168

It's more like it taught him a valuable lesson. The top moneymakers in the sport(FLoyd, Pac, Cotto) were using the weight issue to negotiate so Canelo picked up on it.

Catchweights suck but it's part of the business so some of you need to get used to it and cease the constant beatching.

he knows that at this point in his career he will lose at 160 and does not want another loss on his record now. he will either weight drain ggg or let ggg and the fight marinate for a few more years thereby increasing both monetary profits and his chance of winning. if he thought with his ***** and not his brain he would move up to 160, get his ass kicked and further tarnish his future earning and ppv value.

Hopefully Triple Duck agrees and comes in dead at the weight.

No, we should carry on moaning about anything that is bad for the sport.

We all know that there are many bad things about boxing (pretty much all of it is on the politics side of the sport). Promoters, boxers and the governing bodies get away with these things because the fans just accept them.

Now, i agree that Canelo is just doing what Mayweather, Pac and Cotto done before him, but instead of giving Canelo a free pass, we should be calling him out on his antics that are bad for the sport, just like some fans called out the aforementioned three on what they done.

Nope. He's proven he's not affected by draining down. Triple Duck has never had to drain himself to 155.

Agree that Canelo deserves some of the s#it he's getting for the catchweight demand but on the other hand, he was willing to face
FLoyd and Cotto at their catchweight so the same thing should be expected of GGG.

I disagree, he was definitely affected by draining to 152 for FLoyd.

Not saying he would have won the fight, cause he used a stupid plan
to try and out-box Floyd but would have been more effective had he tried to use his proper weight advantage.

There are weight divisions for a reason. If you like catchweights then do it without a title on the table.

But isn't that just perpetuating the increase in catchweight fights, which most fans agree with, is bad for boxing?
