Do you realize what a stupid statement that is?? Canelo calls himself WBC lineal middleweight champ Gennady is a Middleweight neither is "MOVING UP"
For Gennady to fight at 168 he has to go up 8 pounds.
Sick part is If they ever do fight I'd lay odds El Pollo would outweigh Gennady by 7- 10 pounds fight night.

It's perfectly fine if he doesn't want to be a middleweight. In such case WBC should strip him off and he can do whatever he likes in his personal 155 division. The problem is WBC is to corrupt to do the right thing under any circumstance.

Agreed but he is STILL saying the same things today when he CLAIMS to be WBC & lineal World champion. How can a world champion refuse to defend his title at the official weight limit?? Easy answer

this is pretty disgraceful and I really like canelo. No one should be seeking a weight advantage, they should be seeking a level playing field. Canelo enters the ring heavier than ggg sometimes so if he wants ggg to come down he is looking for an advantage not a level playing field
