Since it was only one pound less than Alvarez weighed in at his last fight, he was hardly put at a disadvantage. lol Of course Alvarez wanted the fight at 154. That goes without saying. Just like Golovkin wants to fight at 160. However, since Alvarez was the "B" side he couldn't get that weight. I think Mayweather proposed 150 and Alvarez came back with 152, which was accepted by Mayweather. I know it is difficult for fighters to go below their limit. That is why Alvarez wants Golovkin to go below his limit. I thought you were defending Alvarez's actions but if you are not, then my mistake.
