Khan, charlo, and crawford. He it the ultimate cherry picker. Crazy how some people defend this dude. Complains that benevidez is "20lbs bigger" doe.
This reminds me of the time when Top Rank had no viable opponents for Pacquiao, so they had to bring in guys from lower weights, some of whom they signed from rival promoters, like Marquez - who left Golden Boy for the third Pacquiao fight. Heck, even Mosley signed with Top Rank, if I am not mistaken. List of opponents who moved up in weight to face Pacquiao: Chris Algieri, Timothy Bradley Jr, Brandon Rios, and Juan Manuel Marquez.
Not one of those fights made any drastic weight changes to fight Manny. What they did was take advantage of a great opportunity (title and/or $$) and fought at the next division they were planning on moving up to anyway. Let's not act like Manny was some huge weight bully beating up on little guys like some of these so called "future face of boxing" fighters today.
Canelo, didn't MAKE any of them come up. All 3 are individuals who hunted (are hunting) a matchup with Canelo. Khan stepped into a great opportunity and was able to get the fight. Charlo and his brother was barking about getting a Canelo fight for years. Crawford warmed up to the idea a little over a year ago and has since been trying to make it happen. But none of these guys were individuals Canelo was gunning for. I get it, you hate Canelo, but at least dislike him for something he's actually guilty of. Talk about his gifted wins, or the fail drug tests, or maybe even changing the details of a contract a week before fight night.
