Canelo's style is good for Pacquiao, but he's much stronger than the guys Pac has been facing. A prime Pacquiao would beat a healthy Canelo but this 35 year old Pac? Not too sure. Considering Canelo weighed 165 vs Floyd, same as Margo I think, it's do-able.

Saying this as a Pac fan, I'm not sure if he'd beat either of them at this point, but I think Algieri's awkward style will prove to be very hard for him to deal with, while Canelo brings nothing Pacquiao hasn't seen before and like you said he already beat Margo so the size and weight probably wouldn't be an issue, but Canelo is far more skilled than Tony, both would be tough fights, but the fact that Algieri won't even attempt a KO and will constantly fight off the backfoot will be problematic.

canelo is a counter puncher, which is the wrong style for pac, he will catch pac like bradley and marquez did, but pac may not wake up this time... canelos right hand is all wrong for pacquiao...

Pacquiao has never fought above 150 pounds.

I highly doubt this fight ever happens.

There's a better chance of this fight happening than the one we really want. If Nelo and PAC can agree to a weight, this fight might have a real shot to be made. This fight could do some big PPV numbers and Golden Boy Promotions are supposed to be working together with Top Rank since Dick left.

...But I'm saying that they WON'T be able to agree to a weight.

Pacquiao has only fought at JMW once in his career, it was 4 years ago, and it was against an unranked opponent. Meanwhile, Alvarez has already been and seems to be further on his way to MW.

A Cotto fight would be more interesting. So would a Golovkin fight but that might never happen.

why wouldn't it happen? some of you act as if pacquiao is the one who negotiates for himself.

Arum and Koncz are the ones who set up all those crazy ass catch weights, Pacquiao would probably fight GGG if it made sense. He would fight Canelo at like 156 catchweight for a middle weight belt or something. Only to leave pacquiao left with nothing and Arum, ODLH with a new golden boy of boxing.
