Obviously if he wins a close one via the scorecards or even if it isn't close it will be said that the Judges gave it to him. So in that sense both Golovkin and Canelo are under a similar pressure. Both corners might tell their man the same thing. Knock him out if you want full credit. But of course Golovkin's situation if indeed perceived that way is far ore stressful and places him at an unfair psychological advantage.

    BTW
Such an advantage shouldn't even be part of the sport but unfortunately the boxing judges have earned a notorious reputation for going awry too many times, not in subtle ways but in ways which cry out favoritism. So I don't blame Golovkin's corner for having this worry on their minds.

Going against the grain here but this is one time that I wish titles fights were still 15 rounds.

If Canelo wins this fight fair and square, even a close one, there is more than enough honest people on sites like this who will call it how it is. The ones calling robbery when it isnt one will be the same old names that nobody really listens to anyway.

I will be gobsmacked if any of this happens ofcourse, the Mexican is going to get a pasting.

How exactly would that prevent ref interference and judges' biased scoring?

No, I'll give Canelo full credit if he wins fair and square, even if it's close.

Unfortunately boxing scoring is very subjective so there is always differing opinions on the result..

I do think one will have to KO the other (not via nut punches :)) to get a definitive result...

I do suspect GGG will have to do alot more for the win given he is the away fighter...

He gets full credit even if he wins a close, but correct decision

Amen bro. I see too many draws with even rounds or close fights with no clear victor. At least make them 13 rounds.

Just punch GGG in the nuts a bunch of times like Ward did Kovalev and the pig NSAC ref will surely give him the KO victory.

Yeah totally, for example we only two guys in Shadow and Isal who psy opp themselves into thinking Floyd v Canelo could of conceivably been given a draw,I'd say for the most part the rest of just wanna see fair judges and less of the hometown cooking which is just another word for corruption.
Canelo ain't gonna knock Golovkin in this lifetime as he just isn't a KO type of boxer as his money grab Chavez jnr debacle proved, had a chance to impress and finish a man who'd used his camp to make the debilitating catch weight Oscar and Canelo had given him in order to weaken him and gain an unfair advantage, let's just get this right then because I'm baffled where this KO nonsense has come from,Canelo felt so good at the weight and had so much energy he chose to stand for the entire twelve rounds in his corner and yet for all that he couldn't either KO or stop the absolute worst weight drained version of Chavez jnr we've ever seen and yet he can now KO GGG,good luck with that Canelo?

Anyway to answer the question I'd say we'd all give huge credit to Canelo if he beats GGG And clearly did enough to win rounds

What are you going on about? Even if GGG KO's Canelo in 1, he won't get full credit. all Canelo has to do is make it to the final bell and I'll be astonished, and give him a shitton of credit just for that.

Why would you want a pre prime Canelo to fight GGG at 160? A weight class he hasn't fought in yet?
