I don't agree Magic, but i admire your willingness to stick your neck out and make the prediction. I also hope your correct. :good
whatever the outcome, you can put your house on it that tommorrow the loser's fanbase will have a ton of excuses ready i expect Floyd to win, but it be great for boxing if Canelo manages to shock the world
Canelo has this virgin spirit, this innocence which none of Floyd's previous opponents have had. It's as if a victory is righteous for Canelo, especially given how much people adore him, and so Floyd is doubting in his mind now whether he really is 'the one'. He looked frustrated at the weigh in. All of Floyd' previous opponents have been scumbags. But Canelo is the young people's champ, 13 years younger. Floyd has to be 100 mentally if he wants to win. He has to be agile and not let it get to his head. Because one slip up and it could all be over. Floyd is vulnerable too, we saw how Shane Mosley came close to knocking him out in the 2nd round.
You mean knocking him down right? I didn't see Floyd running for his life trying to survive till the end of the round.
If it's close Canelo gets the decision, Mayweather better do more then 10 punches a round. Canelo's punches will count more because there will be some serious power to them, the puff Mayweather punches won't count for much.
I also think Floyd will lose. He did look vulnerable lately and getting older won't help him in this fight, I really think that he'll start to lose when he starts to lay on the ropes as he's been doing in all of his latest fights.
He's got a good a chance as anybody out there. This is not Floyd's best weight and he's looked a little slower up here. However, if we get some of that Mayweather of old: slipping, sliding, moving around that ring while landing clean counters, Canelo is in for a long night. I would be surprised if a "pop and clinch" strategy was employed given Mayweather will be about 18 pounds lighter in that ring. I would think (arm chair strategist here) that in the clinch, he would be concerned about being worn down by the bigger man. Interesting fight for sure. ALL FIGHTERS LOSE if they keep fighting. Floyd is 36, pushing 37. We'll see tonight if the 23 year old champion can impose his strength, and his youth, on a very skilled veteran fighter like Mayweather.
