Karma is a biotch. Espinoza is saying Oscar reneged on a deal and said he would not approve Clottey for Dec.

This coming from the same guy who took Super Duck from HBO and approved Shitska and Santana as opponents for the Barclays card.

Combined with the revelation that their All-Access show is a farce, it's not been a great day at Showtime HQ.

LMFAO up to 154 is the range for that division. Canelo was drained as a corpse at 152? Oh the *******s. :rofl Why the F is he fighting as a JMW then? Or is Canelo's main skill, draining weight and having a size advantage?

I think the key is the following

    • The fighter is not signed with Al Haymon (Andrande, Kirkland, Golovkin)
    • The fighter can be signed with or affiliated with Top Rank (Cotto, Korobov,Chavez Jr.)
The thing is alot of GBP stable is using Al Haymon as the manager and HBO does not like Haymon plus if Haymon fighters were to fight on HBO wouldn't that ruin Haymon's relationship with Showtime? This is going to get interesting

hbo and showtime can sign exclusivity contracts which allow them not to be blackmailed by promoters/managers.

GGG and Alvarez is possible now. A Cotto fight is also a lot easier to make.

And sucks for Showtime. They've been losing all year, from ratings, to disappointing PPVs to fighters jumping ship for a better network.

I might be wrong, but I think the vast, vast majority of fighters in the GBP stable are "advised" by Haymon, and so likely won't ever fight on HBO. That means Haymon is going to need a way to get his fighters moved over to another promotional entity (like TMT) so that they can continue working with showtime and putting on the sh1tfests that we've all become accustomed to.
