Yes, i agree....style do make fights. Cotto, at this point still poses a very strong threat to Canelo. Cotto, does everything better than the young and coming up fighter at this point. I wouldn't consider Cotto a washed up fighter and an easy task for Canelo. This fight would be good for both fighter and for boxing.

 

Canelito couldn't stop Delvin in less than 8 or or at all.

Cotto doesn't want any part of Canelo. Cotto loses to A level fighters. History proves it. Cotto needs to stick to the Rodrigues level fighters because we don't need to see him crying at the end of the fight ever again. You didn't see him running out of the ring crying and whining like his last three fights.

 

Canelo in a similar situation as Cotto was in.Canelo lost his last fight and had his hands full with Trout just 2 fights ago.Cotto may have a new confidence and with Freddie in his corner this could be a very interesting fight.Not saying Cotto would win but he deserves consideration and it will certainly be an entertaining fight.

No way in hell does Canelo stop Cotto. Cotto is a crafty vet, and Canelo isn't a big puncher. It would be a good fight though.

 

Im a big fan of Canelo but yah hes still needs more experience before going at it with fighters like mayweather, cotto etc. He should fight Ortiz next

 

Canelo doesn't have the Stamina to pull it off.... he is not a pressure fighter like Margarito either.... I see this is a action packed fight, that will go the distance. If in Las Vegas, Canelo wins... if in Madison Square Gargen it's Cotto... Good fight in my opinion.

 

Mayweather schooled Canelo in the art of boxing but Cotto will school him on how to deal with pain in heavy doses.

 

This fight has to happen! Cotto and Canelo were MADE for each other, I think Canelo enjoys a lot greater success than he did against Mayweather but Cotto is a warrior who technically is the more talented of the two, both guys can win the fight, Cotto may just get back to his best under Roach and if he has another Margarito II kinda performance in him then he takes it, but if the hard fights have taken a toll on him then Canelo may be just too fresh, too young and ultimately too strong for him.

 

I still don't like the size advantage for Canelo. I think Cotto was more effective in 147:smoke

 

Cotto did sting Floyd a few times but Canelo will blow up to about 162 and over power Cotto.
I could be wrong because Cotto has a much higher in ring IQ:roll:
