Lol you're kidding yourself thats not how it worked out GB offered 30-35% and GGG said F that I want 50% now that you guys messed up. And they worked from there And credit to Canelo, he could've pick someone else after one year out of the ring
Not just that Canelo has stalled GGG activity to a stand still and that’s very bad for an older fighter. Canelo is younger and is used to fighting infrequently.
According to Rafael, MGM Grand got involved at last minute and put something together to get it over the line. Would love to know what it is.
This is some good negotiating from GGG's team. He was never going to get 50/50, but getting 42.5% with additional perks against Canelo is a huge win. These last minute negotiations got a ton of attention from the press and is going to really help sell the fight.
Don't care about this fight anymore, of course I will watch it but I'm nowhere near as hyped as I initally was for the rematch
From what's been printed about it, the safe guess is that after GGG declined DLH's final offer MGM threw in a little something(maybe in the form of a bonus?) to prevent the fight from falling apart cause they also stood to make a lot of money.
casino makes plenty of money from the fight that they can share. maybe ggg is getting a % of beer, tickets, merchandise, etc... or hell, they can comp him a whole floor of their hotel for all his friends and leeches.
GGG is another past his prime and Canelo is a little less juiced. This is going the same way as the first fight.
