Personally i think he has tasted what a few real Middleweights have had to offer in training camps. Oscar has seen this too. Canelo is a very stocky guy, hes heavy and he couldnt do 147, 154 or 155 seem a struggle, he is a full blown middleweight in poundage but he and Oscar doesnt believe he is all round big and strong enough to cope against the better Middleweights. He is stuck. He has been doing alot of draining for quite a while. Hes still young but what he has been doing cant do him any good in the long run.
Aahhh...Culeno just got schooled for 5 rounds until he got a lucky haymaker in..! He's more over rated than anything !!!
Canelo will be fine at MW. When he was a 147 lb fighter 6 years ago at age 20 he sparred with a PEAK MW GGG and held his own against a full grown man. There isn't a lot of money fights at 160 except for GGG. All the popular fighters are at 147-154 right now. I'm sure they cosnider that too, and Canelo doesn't seem to have any issues making 155, he looked energized and in tip top shape on fight night coming on stronger as the rounds went on.
Hahahah... You have no idea what you're looking at when you watch a fight don't you? You also probably think that Cotto was having his way with Maragrito until the 10th round, or that Meldrick Taylor was in a one sided fight against JCC right? atsch Canelo was chopping Amir down from the get go. It's what body punchers do, they are patient, and they don't land the flashiest punches in the first rounds because they invest in body work, but you probably are more of a casual than a real fight fan.
I couldn't disagree more. I think GG will control the distance with a stiff jab. He will have Canelo at the end of his punches until it's time to end it then he will start stepping into his shots. Canelo only throws fast ***** or he's not throwing at all and I don't see that working against GG.
LOL... Canelo ONLY throws fast what? Canelo throws fast combos, he uses his head and waist to make his opponents miss, he counters when his opponenets attack him, he uses feints extremely well to surprise his opponents, and his has a great body attack. :deal
The prevalence of mismatches and 'cherry-picking' is a big reason why boxing skill has declined the last 20 years. You fight easy fights, you aren't forced to develop and sharpen.
Not questioning his defense , just saying for GG he better not be so predictable . Everything he throws is fast no medium speed shots to set up the hard shots. GG will gauge his speed and distance because of this .
This can be true. Canelo seems to have one speed with his punches, but I feel he kind of makes up for it with his feints. There is no denying Saul Alvarez has excellent fenits.
The KO was perfectly setup with feinting the jab. When's the last time we've seen that. Too many boxers don't feingt at all this days, and Canelo's really good at it.
That's one thing I appreciate about Canelo, I also like how he moves his head and waist for defense rather than using his feet to get away from punches... Canelo seems to be a throwback counter puncher.
And you cockily say this acting like you're making some brilliant observation, because you know that Canelo thrives on aggression and he's a counter puncher. Well if you were such a brilliant analyst then you should have the wherewithal to be able to fully comprehend that the fighters Canelo has feasted on in the past were come forward defenseless plodders right? And you should also be smart enough to know that GGG isn't a come forward plodder with no defense right? Angulo/Kirkland is to Provodnikov/Gradovich as GGG is to Tszyu/Chavez:good They are punching bags, GGG is an effective aggressor.:deal Here's a spot on preview of GGG Vs. Canelo only Nelo isn't on Camacho's level, and it won't go the distance. [yt]I0tK7l7vG3U[/yt] And if Canelo chooses to be more aggressive it'll go like this. [yt]ocvSTlYlzds[/yt]
GGG has NEVER faced anyone that is a top level world fighter, nor anyone in the top 50P4P list. Canelo is no Dominic Wade, recognize that and you're making progress. On the other hand, Canelo not only has faced tremendous punchers, but has also faced defensive masters. GGG has faced Lemieux, his best win who lost to Rubio a journeyman.
Canelo has yet to face a tremendous puncher who wasn't drained to catatonia, and make no mistake Angulo was drained. Kirkland doesn't have the IQ to actually land on Canelo clean enough to hurt him, regardless Kirkland is an accumulation KO artist when facing better opposition, he's yet to one punch KO a legit threat, it takes him a good 6 rounds or longer to wear them down. Canelo Alvarez is no Pernell Whittaker, try recognizing that.:deal
Oscar and team canelo know this is light out for canelo But they want about 4 more fights and rake in another 250 mill and then go for GGG in a super fight..it's money to them just Buisness...in the ring it will look like what kov did to bhop only that it will end in a KO..
