Canelo's banned gloves

Golovkins team isn't the reason the gloves were banned. The problem was the gloves being first used in such an important fight wasn't ideal.

 

Another question could be "Why does he want to use them?"

 

Since when did that become a rule? Since GGG complained?

 

If they are new, abnormal, untested, etc. then I don't see anything wrong with Golovkin's complaints. It's out of character but it seems fine.

 

I know what the reaction was on this forum from you guys for the comparable Floyd/Maidana glove issue but, hey, it's Boxing Forum 24, I wouldn't expect any consistency on thought. I expect dramatic statements and proclamations!

 

What does this have to do with rules. It was the commissions choice.
