He gonna be undisputed at 168 in November probably with one-sided beating. But later? Fight with Bivol or Beterbiev at 175 is still dangerous for me. He didn't like Kovalev's punches. Thoughts?
Probably a mandatory defense against Zach Parker in the UK and then perhaps Canelo vs Benavidez in May or September. Canelo still has a few fights to make at 168 pounds before going back to light heavyweight.
Benavidez probably will be the toughest opponent of Canelo. I am hesitant about Canelo because of that. His chance is even higher than Beterbiev and Bivol imo.
I think he deals with Benavidez a lot easier than people think. Im still not sure why Benavidez is rated so highly
Because Benavidez won't be on his back foot unlike Smith, Saunders or Plant. Canelo beats these guys by walking on them and using his atg defense. He can't make this strategy against Benavidez. Benavidez goes to a true war with Canelo.
Everybody has a plan until they get hit one thing that has been consistent is most fighters have fought completely opposite they’re norm when facing him
I hate Clenelo but I respect the fact he’s gonna unify 4 belts at 168. It’s not easy unifying 4 belts between the politics of it and the fact you have to win multiple fights overall.
He is making reverse psychology. Caleb can shock all over the world by dying in the ring or escaping from the ring during middle of the fight.
Bless your heart. Caleb Plant could knock Canelo unconscious, lifting his body clear out of the ring knocking Canelo onto the press table ringside and he’d still get a split decision loss.
