He was definitely hurt once in the second fight. I believe he was also stunned in the first fight, it's been a while so I can't recall that vividly. Edit: Stunned may be a better word
GGG hurt him in both fights, not to the point in which he was going to be stopped or anything on that level but he was hurt.
Yes exactly and that's my point. You said the defensive movement is the reason he's got such a good chin but I'm saying it's not like he's a defensive genius, as he does get caught flush regularly.
I disagree,he might not be a defensive genius but he hardly gets hit regularly anymore. His defenive movements and reactions are quite extraordinary now. He barely gets hit at all.Flush?Almost never.
Not really. In the first fight, it wasn't that GGG ever really hurt him, it was just that he gassed a bit in the middle rounds. In the rematch, GGG never had him in any real trouble. People point to the shot he landed on him in the 10th, it wasn't that big of a shot if we're honest. Canelo landed much bigger and more damaging shots on GGG than that in both matches.
Canelo has a large head, a very strong neck and a broad chin that is why he has good resistance to blows to the head, small-headed fighters like Khan and Hearns tend to have bad jaws
