Eddie Sperm never had a $1bn budget. That's been proven to have been a PR stunt over and over. It completely backfired and actually HURT his cause. LOL. He's signed nobody at all. His budget is non-existent and everybody knows it. He did't get Canelo or Pacquiao and we've heard nothing about GGG. He said he'd "Definitely get one"... well he's almost out of options and only the weakest draw coming off a loss is left. LMFAO.

DAZN is 100% making moves though. This Canelo deal is HUGE and I applaud them for it.

That's $200,000 a day for the next 5 years, wow. This surpasses NBA contracts, Curry 5 years $201 Million. Canelo hit the jackpot, all he has to do now is perform, and I hope they don't give us shitty fights to protect their investment.

 

My guess is that the headline $365m figure is the maximum that could be paid and they've thus released that figure to get the maximum level of publicity.

The contract will include a minimum revenue guarantee and then there will be additional sums based on acquisition and retention of new subscribers, viewing figures etc. There will be clauses related to the amount of media work required, social media cross promotion, agreement on what level of opponents would be acceptable etc.

Then there's a payment schedule with some up front, regular payments of the mrg and fluctuating payments based on the other stuff.

Or they may just back a truck up to his house and unload a load of cash who knows...

It is not in any way insulting to call you a sycophant if I genuinely believe you have shown yourself to be exactly that again and again over a period of many months. You may take offence to it, but that does not inherently make it an insult. For example, I take great offence that you don't acknowledge me as a true expert in the sport and business of boxing. It is not however an intended insult on your part so much as a product of your general ignorance on those subjects. Do you see the difference?
