He actually said he agreed with all of Canelo's stipulations, and only highlighted that one as particularly ridiculous.
With the track record of canelo forcing GGG to wait until Golovkin qualified for a pension, I'd be worried too.
I mean, why do people become boxers in the first place? Either they want to fight for money, legacy, or worldwide fame. Caleb Plant is literally saying no to all 3 for an idiotic reason.
Your not undetstanding right. Plant simply stated the demands of Canelo. That being, if Plant gets hurt, Canelo gets a replacement and the money. It just isn't the same for Plant.
I just dont understand why Plant is balking over this. Sign the contract and fight! This is his Golden Ticket, he better take advantage.
Welp, those of us who suspected Uncle Al was up to his old shenanigans have been proven correct. This content is protected
I find this odd. Plant agreed to everything and Canelo given everything he asked for but he still won't sign to fight, that doesn't make sense. There's something else going on. I don't like Canelo but when you are offered everything you want you don't just walk away. So I'm reserving judgement for now until Canelo comes out with his side of the story because what Plant has said doesn't sound right.
You can have a countless number of things that point to Clenelo being a roid junky but if you don't have video evidence of Fraudnelo injecting then the dumb fanboys will gloss over it like it's not at all suspect
The issue is between Canelo and PBC. From what I gather, they want options on his next few fights; presumably at 168lbs. Canelo wants to remain a free agent and not be tied to anyone; just go with the best deal and highest bidder. The issue is that what Canelo wants for himself (easy route packaged as path glory) may not be the most profitable for DAZN or PBC; hence the need to sign him to a commited deal that's also profitable to the network. A PPV model for PBC makes sense as they can get that Mexican money but the outlay is still $50,000,000+ for both fighters. Furthermore, Plant is not a proven commodity at the box office so just having a single fight could ultimately turn out to be a losing deal for PBC. In short, Canelo gets $40,000,000 guarantee + PPV and probably all the belts and PBC lose a belt and are millions in the (financial) hole while Canelo is laughing at them; "hey man, I took your money and your belt and left your organisation weakened "
I don't think people understand that It's not Plants fault, It's all PBC, they are not gonna welcome every diva demand that Canelo has. Canelo is really gonna end up bad in some way, Karma is coming for all.
